For the purists who still prefer the coal burning method of bakhoor.
Swiss Arabian presents a traditional incense burner (also known as Mubkhar) for use with charcoal briquettes. This ornamental style of burners is ideally suited for transportation around the house and walk-in-closets.
Available in 3 size:
Small (4 inch tall with top diameter 3 inches)
Medium (5 inch tall with top diameter 4 inches)
Large (6 inch tall with top diameter 5 inches)
The bakhoor burner comes with a removable perforated tray that allows ash to fall through and collect in its base dish. Once charcoal and bakhoor have been exhausted and the metal part is cold, the perforated tray may be removed and ash can be tipped out and discarded in a safe way.
Please note that the upper metallic part of the burner should not be touched as it will get hot and therefore should be used under supervision away from the reach of children and pets and should be kept well away from lose hanging curtains or any other material that may get burned or catch fire if in too close proximity.
TIP: Wrap the removable top plate with aluminium foil, and replace every so often, to keep the metallic burner in pristine condition.
Ignite the side of a charcoal briquette (preferably while holding it with a tong for safety);
Once sparkling occurs, place it on top of the burners' removable plate;
Wait for the entire charcoal briquette to glows before adding the bakhoor/incense;
CAUTION: Keep out of reach of children and pets and do not leave burning charcoal unattended.
